The problem

Community spaces work only when people can participate, organize activity, and trust that the right controls exist around identity and access. Haven’s Heroes was built as a multi-user platform rather than a static information site, which means the hard parts were mostly the things static demos politely ignore.

What I built

Haven’s Heroes includes user profiles, authentication and session management, activity feeds, discussion spaces, posts, polls, events, and shared achievements. It uses Supabase/PostgreSQL for application data and access-control structure, with Clerk for identity workflows.

  • User authentication and authorization.
  • Role-aware application behavior.

  • User-generated content and community interaction flows.
  • Event, poll, and discussion features that connect separate parts of the application.
  • Responsive React/Next.js interface work with Tailwind CSS.

What I learned

Haven’s Heroes taught me that multi-user software is primarily about boundaries and relationships. A feature is never just “make a post”: someone creates it, other people can see it, some people can edit it, notifications or feeds may surface it, and the interface has to explain all of that without making the user feel like they are filing a permit request.

Why it belongs here

It is an important earlier full-stack project because it demonstrates multi-user application features, authentication, community interactions, and a relational data model—the foundation underneath many product applications.
